Back In March, Snapchat made a $100 million acquisition that not everyone understood at the time. Shortly after the purchase Snapchat added sticker support to its app and now it’s more evident how the purchase of Bitstrips, the startup company behind Bitmoji, made sense for one of the most personalized social media platforms.
The integration of Bitstrips products will allow users to send bitmojis in their chat and snaps.
For the newbies, a bitmoji is your personal emoji that you have created. Users can download the Bitmoji app, create their emojis, and link them to Snapchat. If you already have both accounts, simply link them in your settings to get started sending personal emojis in your chats and snaps. Users can even send friendmojis from friends.
The best part about this improvement to Snap is that we can expect to see more improvement to this feature over the course of time. It seems that every social media platform is lobbying for the interest of users by keeping up with our constantly growing demands to communicate. The full implementation of Bitmojis is only going to enhance the Snapchat experience for its users.
